On a day like today my heart goes out to all of you who have a family member serving in the military or who have lost a love one protecting our way of life no matter where in the world.
I took this photo in DC while walking around and enjoying the beautiful buildings
Also, enjoy the last day of May... especially if you live in hurricane zones because tomorrow starts "Hurricane Season" along with 6 months of constantly watching the weather.
Have a great day and enjoy your delicious BBQ's!!!

ReplyDeleteugh... i am not looking forward to this hurricane season. we have a house on the gulf coast, where the oil is and it is also supposed to be a really bad hurricane season. i don't think I or anyone on the gulf coast can handle any more bad news.....
Happy memorial Day - Nice picture of the flags - nice and simple. I know what you mean with Hurricane season - I lived in the Caribbean - so I understand watching the weather.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful tribute to all those who have fought and are still fighting for our country! Thank you for stopping over to my blog!
ReplyDeleteI'll be praying for all the people in hurricane row!
Happy Memorial Day! I hope you're having a wonderful day today and wow I didn't even think about hurricane season...it crept right up upon us :)
ReplyDeleteLovely tribute!
ReplyDeleteand I had no idea hurricane season started in June...that is a long season!
Living near DC and Bethesda Naval Hopsital - or any military hospital - it's a reality check that Memorial Day is NOT the only day we remember our veterans, military, soldiers...I agree. When I visited a friend who had lost both legs in Iraq - I realized the enormity of what this war has done to our young. We started gathering packages for the families and patients. I didn't even realize what was needed so close to home and how much my neighbors would help out...but they were wonderful. Jennifer
ReplyDeleteSounds like things will get tough.
ReplyDeleteTake care!
lovely post......hope you had a great weekend....

ReplyDeleteWe brought flowers to the Airforce memorial in Arlington, Va. We started a new tradition, each year we're going to bring flowers to a different memorial. Next year, Iwo Jima. This really helped our little ones understand what this holiday is for.
ReplyDeleteHope you had a great Memorial Day weekend!
ReplyDeleteIt's a courageous and honorable what our troops and their families do for this country.
Hope your Memorial Day weekend was amazing!
