Tea at the Plaza

Last time I tried to go, the hotel was going under its massive renovation and was left not just craving the experience but also curious about the work being performed in there. The end result is amazing and the whole experience was even better than I remembered it.

The tea menu is delicious and then you chose a set menu with different NY related names that include sandwiches and savories, scones, pastries and sweets. Additionally you get your Devonshire cream, lemon curd and preserves.

Sandwiches and savories that included the all time classic cucumber and smoked salmon sandwiches

 Sweets and pastries including black and white cookie and chocolate filled profiteroles

If you decide to go make sure you have enough time to go and enjoy this all time tradition at one of New York's landmarks and the place where so many people go for the ultimate luxury experience.

P.S. Seems like this thing is working now... hope it stays like that!

    All that food looks positively amazing. I went to tea last week in NJ, but I think yours at the Plaza may take the cake -- everything looks so beautiful!

    It looks lovely! I am sad though that I haven't been able to work out the timing to run into the city to meet you. Hope you love the rest of the trip though.

    thanks for your comment! i actually do love Ray Caesar's works as well. the colors he uses...so gorgeous.

    and your afternoon tea looks amazing. i had afternoon tea only once, but i have to say, i was actually pleasantly surprised by the experience. i walked away wanting more.

    Oh my Gosh be still my heart. I love love love tea and scones with cream and jam. Ahh!! Sounds and looks incredible. Plus the picture above of the NY skyline makes my heart melt. I need to move to NYC!! xo
