So, for now the DC trip is over and I'm very happy of spending time with the sis... it was fun and we laughed a lot!
I hope that the people making the laws and decisions up there in Capitol Hill remember that is not about them and that it is about serving the people who elected them, because when you walk around this amazing city looking at all the great things that have happened in this country, you cannot help but get upset at all of those {from both sides of the aisle} who are not doing their best in helping this country move forward.
Here are some highlights of the trip...
Visit to the Holocaust Memorial Museum: a deeply moving visit that I highly recommend to everyone as it pays tribute to all of those who were lost and survived the horrors of the war
The amazing exhibit at the Phillips Collection called Kandinsky and the Harmony of Silence... Amazing talent!
The talent show at the Summer Camp where my niece and nephew were taking art classes...
The Lego Exhibit at the National Building Museum... made the construction geek inside of me dream of the possibilities!
The Capitoline Venus on exhibit at the National Gallery of Art... looking beautiful and serene!
Have a great day and sorry for going political on you!!!
I'm glad to know you enjoyed the building museum. I didn't go on my trip last month but think my husband would really enjoy it so am planning on a visit a when we go in September. Hope you'll share you're dining experiences :)

ReplyDeleteit really is powerful to visit dc and think about everything that has happened throughout history. and it's really quite sad where our country has ended up today. i'm in agreement with all the other psychologists out there who say that majority of our government leaders have clinical mental disorders. they symptoms are so clear. anyway, this isn't a political blog, but i am just totally in agreement with you about being disappointed with the powers that be. on a more positive note, i'm glad you got to have such a great time with your sister and family!
