Hope everyone had a fantastic weekend. Mine was really quite as it rained in Miami all weekend long non-stop... no worries because I kinda liked it because I was able to get a lot of things done inside my house.
Today I'm bringing you another card I received from another blogger for my birthday last month. Buckeroomama has the cutest blog where she features amazing images of everything that happens around her.
I love this postcard because it features the Chinese Lunar Year Dragon dance and coincidentally the dragon is my sign on the Chinese calendar. You may know this festivity as the Chinese New Year or the Spring Festival and it's celebrated by Chinese communities all over the world (Click HERE to learn more about it).
I found these New Year greeting on her blog and I wanted for all of you to have them as well because I just celebrated the beginning of a new year so they are quite appropriate:
身體健康 (shēn tǐ jiàn kāng) – May you be healthy.
年年有餘 (Nián nián yǒu yú) – May you have surpluses and bountiful harvests every year.
歲歲平安 (Suì suì píng ān) – May you have everlasting peace year after year.
新年進步 (Xin nián jìn bu) – Wishing you progress in the new year.
生意興隆 (shēng yì yǔ lóng ) –Usually to shop owners. May your business be successful.
龍馬精神 (lóng mǎ jīng shén)- Wishing you the energy of a horse and the longevity of the dragon.
步步高升 (bù bù gāo shēng) – Usually to a colleague. Wishing you advancement with every step.
萬事如意 (wàn shì rú yì) – May everything be as you wish.
心想事成 (xīn xiǎng shì chéng) - Similar to the above… May everything go according to your wishes.
笑口常開 (xiào kǒu cháng kāi) – One of my favorites: May you always be smiling.
Note: all images by Bockeroomama... beautiful!
Have a great week my friends filled with great things!!!

Hong Kong is amazing place, and we went to stay with friends living there. I could not get over how hot it was in the month of July.
ReplyDeleteThe shops and restaurants are wonderful.
The card is lovely as is the pictures you have shown.
Happy week

This is a great post, it is 10/10 which is the independence day of Taiwan today!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing! I tend to go see family in HK around New Year time! We always have lots of superstitions, family gatherings, feasts and I'm gutted that I can't spend CNY with friends as I'm no longer in the UK.
ReplyDeleteHere's my take on CNY! http://mybigfatgreekmove.blogspot.com/2011/02/seeing-red-into-chinese-new-year.html
