Kitchen Tool

First of all Happy Monday!!! For this week I wanted to start on a positive note about someone who took his passion, skills, and hard work to start a business that today is doing really well. Joel Bukiewicz, owner of Cut Brooklyn, has an amazing story about being a writer, leaving the business and then he started making knives... Yes, knives!

Made by Hand / No 2 The Knife Maker from Made by Hand on Vimeo.

I love this guy's story because he realized that by making a very functional object he ended up creating a beautiful piece that is the most important tool in any kitchen that anyone wouldn't mind paying good money for {as much as a pair of designer shoes!}. From the designer's point of view I love the detailing on the handle and the fact that it is made by hand by one talented guy.

"My mission is to build you a beautiful knife that performs at the very
highest level for a lifetime of service and enjoyment."

Have a great week and hope you are inspired today by this video!
