I am a terrible tourist, I truly am. The reason is because wherever I go I love to live like the to "do as the Romans do" meaning that I like to do what the locals do. The best restaurants, the best bars, the best event are those that the locals go to and that's what I always try to do.
Rose Bowl Flea Market in Pasadena
What I'd to work on over the next couple of months is put together, with your help, a series of tips and things to do in different cities. For example that great coffee place you went to while on business in Chicago or the trattoria with the fantastic Penne Pommodoro in some corner in Rome.
Life Guard Station in Miami Beach
If you own a store or if your best friend has a fantastic bakery let other know how to find them when they travel. I will put these guides together over the next two months and hopefully by next year {can't believe it's just a few months away!} I'll start posting them for all of you to use.
Julia Child's kitchen at the Museum of American History in Washington DC
This is what we're going to do. You can leave me suggestions on the comments section of this blog or you can EMAIL me with your ideas. Your suggestions can be on your own city no matter where you live or about places you love when you travel.
