Little Washington

It is the name of a small town in Virginia and as a matter of fact the very first town to be called Washington in all of the US {there are 28 Washington's in total}. The town in all is 5 blocks long and 2 blocks wide just like it was when George Washington laid it out back in 1749.

Over the holidays when I visited my sister, the whole family went to take a look at the town and it's most famous resident, The Inn at Little Washington. The little hotel is adorable and has a very comfortable atmosphere inside.

The hotel counts with a restaurant that has received one of the highest honors in the travel industry, the AAA's 5 diamond award as well as several James Beard Awards {like the Oscars for food}.

The area surrounding the hotel is full of vineyards and farms that make it a great place to get out of the craziness of the city and enjoy the beautiful scenery, and it's only an hour and a half from DC.

Have a great day!!!
