Lemonades and limeades have been the "go to" drinks of the summer season for as long as we all can remember. As a kid I didn't live in the kind of neighborhood where you could have a stand to sell them but we did have a lime tree and would make it all the time.
This drink is not only delicious but believe it or not there are some healthy benefits associated with drinking a tall cold glass of lemonade. It helps in decreasing dehydration which is the main reason why you love it so much on a hot day.
One of my favorite things about limeades is that they are packed with vitamin C and in places where you go from hot environments into air conditioned ones you need the help you can get to not get sick.
Have a great day and don't forget to drink your water today!
I love limes- I drink them in sparkling water all of the time.
ReplyDeleteSadly, I live in the UK and it has been raining every day for weeks, but I can pretend I am somewhere sunnier when I cut up a lime! Lovely post.
These look refreshing - maybe I´ll try them (I mostly forget to try new drinks). :-)
ReplyDeleteOMG, these look SO refreshing. I totally wish I could have some right now. hehe. Great post and lemonade is by far my favorite summer drink

ReplyDeleteYes! When we dance a lot in the summer, we always recommend to put a slice of lime or a lime peel in to help with hydration. It works wonders!
