One of the drinks that symbolizes that warmer days are upon us is sangria. There are many variations of this drink typical of Spain and Portugal made generally with red wine and chopped fruit.
This drink is widely prepared during the hot summer months in Spain and Portugal, but for those of us who live in places where the summer months are long and steamy we enjoy it throughout the year.
Sangria is the kind of informal drink that is served at family gatherings {outside of the US even the kids get a taste of it!} and parties before you take out the nice bottle of wine to have with a formal meal.
A white sangria is always a great option for those who prefer white wine or who just want to be creative and do something different.
Have a great day and cheers to all of you!
Love sangria! Always takes me back to holidays in Spain.
