As I was cleaning out my apartment the past week I found this article on reinventing yourself that I had saved a wile ago for the purpose of doing a blog post but filed it and forgot about it until then. Over the weekend I read the article and some other and thought it would be a good idea to start July with some ideas on how to redesign or improve the rest of 2012.
One of the things that I saw everyone talk about is on connecting with people and forget about the numbers. Sometimes people get really caught up on how many followers they have or how many comments they get each day. But the important thing is to connect with quality people and the comments you receive... Which brings me to thank all of you who have left the most supportive messages over the weekend, I really appreciate them and thanks for connecting with me!

When you make the changes on yourself and are happy with them... look around you and contribute in a positive way to society. As bloggers we have the power to promote other bloggers, designers, writers, artists and any other professional that would benefit from the place we've made for ourselves on the internet... do you know anyone who would like to be on PM Masters? let me know!
Concentrate on quality. In the same way we want to read things that are of the best quality, we should do the same... think of it as art! What we put out there has to make us proud because they reflect the quality of the work we want other people to see no matter if they are images or words, just make them count.
Finally, learn from your mistakes and leave them behind so you can start fresh. And as you learned from your mistakes remember that there is so much more to learn so keep on looking for new things, find new interests, try news foods, go to new places, and get out of your comfort zone... You never stop learning!
Have a great day, thanks for all your support and happy July!

Hi dear, thanks for this encouraging post, I think its always great to start afresh and try new things. I agree with you on the followers and comments issue, its better focus on whats important rather than numbers. Quality over quantity. Thanks for your comment

I think that's pretty key - leaving your mistakes behind. Good advice
ReplyDeleteDarling! Probably best Monday post ever! Love the spirit...What an insightful and inspiring message!Have a great week! xoxo
ReplyDeleteThis is really inspiring, thank you. I love to always learn new things and meet new people, I think it keeps our kinds alive. So true about numbers - I have a very small amount of 'followers' but I put out the same content as though I had thousands - I agree with you that it's not about the numbers, it's about connections with whoever chooses to read. Love this post :)
ReplyDeleteA little inspiration and refocusing is just what we need this time of year. Great post!
ReplyDeleteWhat kind of people are you looking for for PM Masters? Designers? Business people? I'd love to help you find people!
ReplyDeleteIt's so true about numbers. Numbers will come, but friendships are more important.
Learning from and leaving mistakes behind so you can start fresh. Great advice. :)

This is such wonderful, positive advice. To the rest of 20121
ReplyDeleteGreat advice and a wonderful way to start off July. I am a firm believer in doing small things to make a positive impact! I hope you have a wonderful week! xx
ReplyDeleteYou are so right about having quality readers vs the number of followers, hence I didn't add Google friend connect. haha. This is good advice to start off the month
ReplyDeleteGreat post - I spent part of the weekend thinking about what I can do to shake things up for the second half of the year.
ReplyDeleteI think we should always be willing to grow and change--- it is important not to get stuck in a rut! Right now, having moved to a new city, I can't help but reevaluate and make some life changes.
ReplyDeleteHave a great Monday!

ever evolving! I completely agree with always self-reflecting and reinventing oneself. Thanks for the motivating words of wisdom.
ReplyDeleteI find reinvention to be both fun and stressful at the same time but in the end the stress is worth it.
ReplyDeleteI have to say I agree with the people who say numbers aren't everything. I've been blogging for a few years now and my numbers are still low {when I even check} but I like the people I have met and especially those who leave thoughtful comments or tell about interesting things. It does seem to make things more worth it.
What a wonderful post you've written here. So thoughtful and insightful.
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of focusing on quality.... am trying to do that more and more.
