In my book few things are as good as a good dessert after dinner or with a cup of coffee mid afternoon on Saturday. I have always wondered why some people are not into dessert as they are the best way to end a good meal, celebrate a birthday or share with someone you care about {romantic?}.
I love Tiramisu with a passion and get really upset when someone messes up this perfect combination of cream, lady fingers, coffee and chocolate. The best one I've ever had was at a restaurant in Florence near the Bargello Museum and have been dreaming of having it again for so long... maybe a trip to Florence is not such a bad idea!

I love ice cream... there's nothing better on a cold day than a scoop of ice cream to cool you down and make you feel like a million bucks {or Euros!}. My favorite is homemade vanilla bean, the one where you see the little speckles of the vanilla seeds, the one that awakens your senses with its smell and taste.
Tell me... which is your favorite dessert? the one that makes you forget about the calories and just makes you really happy?

Tiramisu, love it! It always frustrates me when it's on the menu but when you get it, it's not a 'real' Tiramisu. I'm not a huge dessert fan but I do love cupakes. Cupcakes, Champagne and Shoes make me quite happy ;)
ReplyDeleteYou've have captured one of my favourite things - dessert! I am a little bit of a patisserie maker, so I've tried making every type of dessert and ice cream. My absolute favourite is creme brûlée but tiramisu is divine as well, I make a variation of it with berries.

i LOVE VB ice cream too - man i NEVER crave ice cream but i dunno - i can really go for some now - with a fresh warm cookie!
ReplyDeleteI don't think I could narrow it down. This week it was a Sprinkles cupcake, a delicious Brownie + vanilla latte (very indulgent week so far) but I have been known to inhale Laduree Macarons like air...they're pretty magical. But of course anything homemade is the best, salted caramel anything...I think that about covers it :)

Dessert is my favorite part of the meal, homemade cookies are probably my favorite followed closely by homemade strawberry cheesecake ice cream.

Oh, every dessert is my favorite dessert. I totally agree with you, I could only stare at my dad with my mouth wide open when he said he wasn't "that big of a cake fan".

My guy adores tiramisu, but it's never been my favorite–luckily we agree on dark chocolate or our favorite yogurt for dessert most of the time!
